As the draft approaches, I expect the Chiefs to trade up, presumably for a quarterback. Kansas City currently has ten picks in this years draft. I don't think 10 rookies are making this roster. If Dorsey and company believe there is a guy in this draft that can replace Alex, they have the ammunition to make a move.
Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson are at the top of my wish list for Kansas City. I wouldn't have a problem with either of them in a Chiefs uniform next season. Mahomes has incredible arm talent, a hand cannon if you will. Watson seems to have the "it" quality that translates to success leading a franchise and huddle.
As a Chiefs fan, I respect the job Dorsey and staff have done evaluating talent for this roster. I will trust them in evaluating quarterbacks until I have a reason not to. (No, Alex doesn't qualify as a reason not to.) I will have some doubt however, if they choose not to address the situation at all. It is time for Kansas City to spend the draft picks and resources it takes to develop the future leader of the franchise.

There aren't enough people writing about football, so I thought I'd add myself to the list. I'm a Chiefs fan, but not at all a homer. (Maybe just a little bit of a homer.) I have played fantasy sports for over 20 years, and consider myself a self made expert in the fantasy football realm. This blog will be fantasy and NFL related. Thanks for reading.
